Service Description

-We offer medical abortion services in Ontario (abortion pill and post-abortion care) for individuals wanting to terminate pregnancies up to 10 weeks. -We determine if the abortion is successful by following a drop in the pregnancy hormone (via blood work). -Prior to booking an appointment- you will complete a questionnaire to determine if it is suitable to offer you medication abortion. Occasionally, we will have to order an ultrasound prior to your medication to discuss and receive an abortion medication prescription. -First visit- This appointment can be done in person or by video and the doctor will determine if we are able to prescribe the abortion medication. Medication is self-administered over 2 days following this visit. We encourage you to do lab work the first day you start taking medication, and again 7-10 days later. -Second visit- This visit is done 2 weeks after the initial visit. Based on symptoms and your repeat blood work, we can advise if the abortion is successful. Please note, we do not offer surgical abortions at our clinic. Medication abortion is funded for those with OHIP. For those without coverage, please let us know. Where possible, we will try to get the abortion medication covered compassionately.
