PrEP (Pre-exposure Prophylaxis)
Pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV
Service Description
PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) is a highly effective, prescription medication (taken as a daily pill or long-acting injection) that helps HIV-negative people prevent HIV from sex or injection drug use. When taken as prescribed, it can reduce the risk of HIV by more than 99%. PrEP requires regular medical visits to make sure it’s safe and working well for you, and it is covered by most insurance plans. Interested in whether PrEP is a good option for you? Visit our clinic to learn more and discuss it with a provider. We see patients both by self-referral and by referral from another clinician.
